Blue Earth County Justice CenterMankato, MN - 2008-2009 - $3.3 Million - New Construction, Roofing, Mechanical - LEED Silver Certified - Scope of Work: Installation of a TPO heat reflective and energy efficient white roof, geothermal exchange system, special security equipment and commercial kitchen refrigeration. Forty-eight miles of tubes and 173 heat pumps circulate both water and heated air throughout the site and facility.
Jackson County Maintenance FacilityJackson, MN - 2013 - $1.25 Million - New Construction, Mechanical - Square Footage: 81,639 sq. ft. - Scope of Work: Installation of all plumbing in both main building and satellite location in Lakeland. Installation of lube oil piping for maintenance trucks, in floor heating, trench drains and 12 inch cast iron pipe that ran down the center of the roof to collect storm water to a basin to store water to wash maintenance vehicles.
Mankato Public Safety CenterMankato, MN - 2012 - $300,609 - Expansion, Roofing - Square Footage: 21,400 sq. ft. - LEED Gold Certified - Scope of Work: A ballasted EPDM roofing system was installed on the building. Coordinating the roofing plans to incorporate solar panels to increase energy efficiency of the facility was also included in the scope.
MnDOT District 7Mankato, MN - 2013 - $935,000 - New Construction - Scope of Work: MnDOT’s District 7 serves Blue Earth, Brown, Cottonwood, Faribault, Jackson, LeSueur, Martin, Nicollet, Nobles, Rock, Sibley, Waseca, and Watonwan counties in the southwestern corner of Minnesota. The main office for District 7 is located in Mankato, Minnesota. In 2010, construction began on the new $24 million, 128,00 sf, multi-transportation hub on a 40 acre lot in the south east corner of Mankato. Schwickert’s installed a 60 mil, ballasted EPDM roof as well as a conical standing seam roof system on the rotunda of the main lobby and architectural composite metal panels.
Shakopee PrisonShakopee, MN - 2013 - $607,607 - Roofing - Square Footage: 43,200 sq. ft. - Scope of Work: Installation of a 4-ply built-up roofing system on multiple buildings. Throughout the project the obstacle of security and access around the facility was an added challenge to completing the project
U.S. Courthouse - Cedar RapidsJackson, MN - 2013 - $2.5 Million - New Construction, Roofing - Scope of Work: Schwickert’s installed a tapered, fully adhered 72 mil Sarnafil roof and designed a sustainable solution that included preparing the roof for a solar photo system and 2,000 sf green roof.
YMCA MankatoMankato, MN - 2014 - $173,500 - Mechanical Installation - Scope of Work: Schwickert’s was hired to install a new heating and air conditioning unit in the Taylor Family Aquatic Center. The heating and cooling for the building was provided by a new air handling unit which was installed on the rooftop of the YMCA building. The unit was designed specifically to dehumidify the main pool room, creating a comfortable environment for swimmers.
