Scope of Work:
Numerous additions and expansions to the Mankato campus and satelite locations including Mayo Clinic Albert Lea, Northfield and new construction of EastRidge Clinic in Mankato. Each project has entailed extensive planning and protocol to minimize noise disruption, maintain cleanliness, and work within tightly scheduled production times.

Schwickert’s was hired as the roofing and mechanical contractor for the 5.7 millon dollar Emergency Room expansion at Mayo Clinic Mankato’s Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital. The project mainly focused of centralizing all existing mechanical systems and increasing energy efficiency while also considering future plans for growth.

An entire building was constructed to contain the new, centralized chiller plant and upgraded high pressure boiler. The upgraded chilled water system consisted of a 900 ton chiller, two cooling towers and an air handling unit. The boiler was also replaced to a larger option to accommodate the growth of the hospital. Installation of all HVAC duct work, piping and systems for medical gases including a medical vacuum, nitrogen, nitrous oxide, oxygen, and medical air.
