The YMCA building was purchased in 1958 and has seen multiple expansion and construction projects since then. The most recent being from 1999 to 2001, transforming the building into a state-of the-art facility complete with a newly renovated swimming pool and gym, the Taylor Family Aquatic Center, a new entrance, lobby and expanded parking.
In June, 2014 Schwickert’s was hired for a contract amount of $173,500 to install a new heating and air conditioning unit in the Taylor Family Aquatic Center. The heating and cooling for the building was provided by a new air handling unit which was installed on the rooftop of the YMCA building. The unit was designed specifically to dehumidify the main pool room, creating a comfortable environment for swimmers. The project was completed in July of 2014.
