Project Scope of Work

Schwickert’s was contracted to help bring new life to Dover-Eyota High School with roofing and metals work on the latest additions to their building.

The roofing work covered 17,500 square feet across flat and sloped decks. On sloped steel decking, crews installed two layers of ISO insulation under the membrane. For the flat sections, the base layer was the same, followed by tapered insulation for drainage. The entirety of the roof project was ballasted 60 mil EPDM. Crews also fabricated and installed new metal coping caps and base flashings for a clean, watertight finish.

Schwickert’s metals team started in Fall 2023, installing 1,500 square feet of wall and soffit panels. The system included insulation, Z-furring strips, and 24-gauge galvanized steel panels at various points around the new additions. Unexpected tie-ins were needed and the crew pulled back sections of  existing roof to connect to the new build and keep the school dry in the process. Despite delays, this project stayed on track serving as a testament to  Schwickert’s delivery of excellence, safety, and timeliness.
