Project Scope of Work

Schwickert’s took on a significant project at Aubry Bend Middle School in Kansas that involved both our Commercial Roofing and Architectural Metals trades. They provided a strong, durable, and visually appealing roof and exterior for the school’s new gym addition.

To the roof, they adhered two layers of insulation and then added a full taper system for better drainage and topped it with a 1/2-inch DensDeck Prime cover board. The roofing membrane installed was one ply of DerbiBase Ultra and one ply of DerbiColor GP FR. All lap and seam areas were hot air welded. The roofing project spanned over 10,000 square feet.

Schwickert’s was also able to meet the unique challenge of the customer’s requirement of a custom color for the wall panels and still stay on schedule.  They applied Blueskin Weather Barrier over plywood, followed by 5,100 square feet of ACM panels.
